The complete organization of an event managed in one app
Summa Quest
Summa Quest was more than just a staff day; it was a large-scale event where technology, collaboration, and gamification merged. The goal was to inspire, motivate, and activate all participants to engage in new educational methods themselves. The day offered various tasks and workshops where participants were mainly encouraged to get hands-on.
Our customized app served as a guide, agenda, and navigation tool. More than 1300 employees of the Summa College embarked on an interactive quest through the digital world of education and the fascinating environment of Strijp-S. The app provided stimulating challenges and ensured that everyone was in the right place at the right time.

Summa Quest in brief
Hulan has a passion for creating inspiring, engaging, and effective game and learning experiences. We combine serious games, gamification principles, advanced technologies, and other innovative approaches such as virtual and augmented reality to elevate learning and development to a higher level. In collaboration with Summa College and utilizing the core points below, we were able to realize the Summa Quest.
Gamify your event
We created the Summa Quest app with our gamification expertise and used game techniques to activate and pique the curiosity of the visitors. Participants could, for example, earn more points by going to specific locations to collect extra coins. This ultimately resulted in participants collectively covering a distance of over four thousand kilometers. Additionally, there were various 'side quests' that encouraged collaboration among participants.
Central Timeline
At large events, it's easy to lose track of each other. Through a central timeline, everyone could see a live overview of the entire event. All photos, tasks, videos, and leaderboards were gathered in one place. This gave participants insight into each other's performances, locations, and creative submissions. After the event, participants received their personal timeline via email.
